McIlroy was on his way to his first Masters Masters victory in 2011, taking a four-point lead into the final. However, he went through a huge crisis in the finals, with 80 people and out of the Top 10.

You don’t have to wait long to receive your first big win. A few months later at the 2011 US Open, McIlroy became one of the most dominant performances in major championship history, breaking a scoring record and winning eight strokes.

In March 2012, McIlroy reached number 1 on the world golf rankings for the first time when he won the PGA Tour Honda Classic. A few months later, McIlroy won the second biggest title, winning the 2012 PGA Championship. At the PGA, McIlroy set a new tournament record in terms of win rate, win 8 strokes.

McIlroy ended the 2012 travel season by winning the European Tour season championship, the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. He ranks No. 1 in world rankings and leads both the PGA Tour and the European Tour in terms of income.

McIlroy had to endure some struggles in 2013, however, not winning anywhere until the announcement of the Australian Open near the end of the year. In 2014, he declared the BMW PGA Championship championship for his first European Tour victory since 2012.

Then in 2014, McIlroy won the third major prize at the Open Championship. He went on with a WGC win in his next game, and on the next launch that followed, the PGA Championship, in three straight wins at the end of the 2014 season.

After winning during the regular season of the PGA Tour, he has won two of the playoff tournaments, including the Season Tour Championship.
